Gank
Ambushing an enemy laner, usually with the jungler joining a lane for a kill.
A gank is a surprise attack on a laner by a hero from off-lane — typically the jungler rotating in through the river or a bush, or a roamer leaving a lane they don't need to defend. Assassins like Ling or Helcurt gank by flanking through fog or bushes so the target only sees the threat after it's too late to escape. Good ganking depends on vision denial and timing — hitting a lane right as the enemy pushes past their turret or right after they burn their escape.
