Counter Pick
Choosing a hero specifically because it beats an already-revealed enemy pick.
Counter-picking means selecting a hero specifically because it answers a hero the enemy has already locked — picking a CC-heavy tank like Khufra after the enemy reveals a dash-reliant assassin, or picking anti-heal-friendly heroes into a sustain-heavy draft. It's only possible on picks made after the enemy's, which is why draft turn order is a real strategic advantage. A good counter-pick doesn't just beat the target hero in isolation — it has to fit the rest of the team's comp too.
