Snowball
Converting an early lead in kills, gold, or levels into a growing advantage.
Snowballing is what happens when an early advantage — a first-blood kill, a won lane, an early Turtle — compounds into a bigger lead, since gold and levels buy items and skills that make winning the next fight easier too. A jungler who ganks successfully twice in the first five minutes typically snowballs their whole team's early game, since the ganked lanes fall behind on farm as well. Comeback mechanics exist specifically to blunt snowballing so a single early lead doesn't guarantee the whole match.
