Gold Laner
The hero — almost always a marksman — assigned to farm the gold lane.
The gold laner is whoever is assigned the bottom gold lane, which grants bonus gold per last hit on top of the normal minion reward, making it the lane where a team's hyper-carry accumulates items fastest. It's almost always a marksman like Claude, Beatrix, or Melissa, since the position is built around scaling basic-attack damage into a late-game win condition. Because the gold laner needs the most farm and protection, teams route jungle ganks and roam attention toward keeping that lane safe.
