Last Hit
Landing the killing blow on a minion, which grants the gold reward.
Only the hero who lands the final blow on a minion collects that minion's gold, so farming efficiently means timing an attack to land exactly as a minion's HP hits zero rather than attacking it continuously. This matters most in the gold lane, where last hits also carry a bonus gold reward on top of the base amount. Marksmen with mediocre wave clear, like early-game Miya, live or die by last-hit consistency since missed last hits directly cost their item timing.
