Powerball marksman whose ultimate bounces between foes, shredding defense
MarksmanGold LaneDeals physical
Bruno builds toward one repeatable burst window — Mecha Legs stacks crit chance off skill damage, and Worldie bounces between grouped enemies, shredding Physical Defense with every hit it lands. Volley Shot's retrievable Powerball rewards good positioning by refunding cooldown on Flying Tackle, letting Bruno chain his combo faster than his cooldowns alone would allow.

Getting full value requires tracking the Powerball's position to retrieve it for the cooldown refund, and landing Flying Tackle to set up a clean multi-target Worldie bounce.

Strengths
Worldie bounces up to 10 times between nearby enemies, shredding Physical Defense stacks and rewarding grouped fights
Flying Tackle is a dash and a stun in one skill, giving him a self-sufficient engage other marksmen don't have
Mecha Legs stacks free crit chance off skill damage alone, so he doesn't need to fully commit to a crit-item build to start critting
Retrieving the Powerball off Volley Shot refunds cooldown on Flying Tackle, letting him re-engage or escape faster than his base cooldowns suggest
Weaknesses
Mecha Legs caps his bonus Attack Speed at 80% effectiveness from all sources, so pure attack-speed stacking scales worse than on other marksmen
Volley Shot's Powerball and Worldie's Energy Ball are both projectiles, so shields and reflect effects can neutralize his whole burst
Low base durability and no escape at all — Flying Tackle closes distance rather than creating it, so a diver who reaches him usually gets the kill
Worldie's value collapses to a single low-damage hit if the enemy team is spread out instead of grouped
Skills
Max Volley Shot first for cooldown and slow uptime, level Flying Tackle for the stun but don't max it early, and take Worldie at every level it's available.

Buff
Bruno gains 2% extra Crit Chance each time he deals damage with his skills (up to 10 stacks). Bruno has higher Physical Attack but only gains 80% extra Attack Speed from all sources.

What the terms mean(1)
Crit Rate
Chance to cause Crit Damage with Basic ATK (including Physical and Magic). The default is 0. A Crit Damage is guaranteed when it is over 100%. Some skills trigger this effect. For example: Layla's Malefic Bomb and the Typhoon effect of Windtalker.
Skill 1
Volley Shot
DamageSlow
Bruno kicks a Powerball on his next Basic Attack, dealing 145–320 (+100% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the target and slowing them by 30% for 0.5 seconds. The Powerball then bounces back toward Bruno and lands on the ground. He or allied heroes can retrieve the Powerball, after which he can perform another enhanced Basic Attack and have the cooldown of Flying Tackle reduced by 1 second.

The Energy Ball then bounces between nearby enemies up to 10 times, each time dealing 150–270 (+50% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage. Each hit also reduces the enemy's Physical Defense by 4%–8% for 8 seconds (up to 3 stacks).

Burst Crit Marksman
7,350g total
Default gold-lane build for punishing grouped enemies with Worldie's bounce.
The 'Flicker combo' — blinking in right as a hook or stun lands, or blinking out the instant an enemy ultimate is cast — is the single most common high-elo outplay moment in the game.
Swap in when needed
Windtalker — Against poke-heavy lanes, for the 20% Movement Speed to walk out of skillshots and Typhoon's three-target proc on the wave.
Blade of Despair — Late game once ahead, for maximum burst on Worldie.
Sea Halberd — Against enemy lifesteal or sustain fighters.
Wind of Nature — Against enemy marksmen or crit-reliant burst focusing him.
Bruno Burst Crit Marksman build: Swift Boots, then Berserker's Fury, then Demon Hunter Sword, then Malefic Roar.
Anti-Tank
7,190g total
When the enemy frontline stacks Physical Defense and blunts a standard crit build.
Purify does not clear suppression (e.g. Franco's Bloody Hunt or Khufra's ultimate) — a common mistake is trusting it to escape a hook combo it can't actually cleanse.
Swap in when needed
Demon Hunter Sword — 8% of the target's current HP per basic attack to cut through a stacked-defense frontline.
Queen's Wings — Against burst assassins threatening to kill him before he can bounce Worldie.
Wind of Nature — Against an enemy marksman or assassin diving him.
Bruno Anti-Tank build: Swift Boots, then Malefic Roar, then Berserker's Fury, then Haas' Claws.
Retrieve the bounced-back Powerball whenever possible — it grants an enhanced Basic Attack and shaves a second off Flying Tackle's cooldown
2
Save Worldie for when at least two enemies are standing close together, since the bounce mechanic is wasted on an isolated target
3
Use Flying Tackle to both engage and to pull the Powerball back to you mid-retrieval, chaining the two effects in one cast
4
Kite with Volley Shot's slow before committing Flying Tackle, so the stun lands on a target who can't juke out of Worldie's bounce range
Bruno — common questions
Is Bruno good for beginners?
Reasonably approachable — the Powerball retrieval loop and Flying Tackle stun are simple to learn — but landing a multi-target Worldie bounce for full value takes positioning reps.
What is the best build for Bruno?
Swift Boots into Berserker's Fury, Demon Hunter Sword, and Malefic Roar covers crit and penetration for his Worldie burst. Swap Malefic Roar in earlier against a stacked-defense frontline.
Which heroes counter Bruno?
Lolita's Guardian's Reflection bounces back the Powerball and Energy Ball his burst depends on, Gloo sticks to him and cuts the damage he deals with every Sticky stack, and Karina or Aamon can burst him down before he lands his own combo.
Why does Worldie feel weak sometimes?
Worldie's value comes from bouncing between multiple nearby enemies — against a single isolated target it's just one modest hit. Save it for grouped fights.
