Argus — Mobile Legends hero

How to counter Argus

FighterEXP Lane

3 hard counters, 6 soft · 4 counter-items · full Argus guide

What Argus is bad at

  • Eternal Evil isn't invincibility — the HP only lands when the 4 seconds are up, so dying mid-transformation wastes the whole payout
  • Demonic Grip's pull only affects the first enemy hit, so a frontline body easily blocks it from reaching the real target
  • His damage output outside of active cooldowns is low compared to other burst fighters
  • No ranged tool means kiting heroes can simply outlast his limited engage windows

Every counter below works by pressing one of these.

Why Argus works

Argus commits to fights through Eternal Evil, an ultimate that cleanses his debuffs and turns him into the Fallen Angel for 4 seconds, converting every point of damage he deals in that window into HP the moment it ends. Demonic Grip's pull-then-dash gives him both the engage and the follow-up in a single skill.

Common questions

Who counters Argus in Mobile Legends?

Ruby, Esmeralda, Fredrinn, Terizla, Gloo all beat Argus. Esmeralda is the hardest counter: Frostmoon Shield plus the shield her own Frostmoon damage keeps regenerating soaks the all-in Argus needs to land during Eternal Evil, and her damage ignores shields on the way back.

What items should I build against Argus?

Antique Cuirass: Reduces Argus's physical damage on every skill hit, punishing the skill-reliant combo he needs Eternal Evil to protect. Blade Armor: Reflects damage on basic attacks and reduces crit damage taken, punishing his melee commitment during an all-in. Immortality: Eternal Evil only pays out for damage actually dealt, so a target who revives and walks away leaves Argus with nothing to hit for the rest of the window. Tough Boots: Cuts the duration of Meteoric Sword's slow, making it easier to walk out of his engage range.

What is Argus's biggest weakness?

Eternal Evil isn't invincibility — the HP only lands when the 4 seconds are up, so dying mid-transformation wastes the whole payout
