Order-and-Chaos mage who chooses invincibility or a slowing blink burst
MageMid LaneDeals magic
Lunox is a burst Mage who alternates Power of Order and Power of Chaos stacks between her two skills, then spends her ultimate as either a 2.5-second invincible AoE nuke or a Chaos blink that resets Chaos Assault's cooldown. Her passive converts Magic Penetration into Spell Vamp under Order, and Spell Vamp into Magic Penetration under Chaos.

Strengths
Starlight Pulse deals AoE damage and heals Lunox off the return, sustaining her in lane
Chaos Assault deals bonus damage based on the target's max HP, scaling into tanks
Power of Order grants 2.5 seconds of invincibility, a rare defensive ultimate
Power of Chaos blinks and slows, doubling as an engage or an escape
Weaknesses
Low base HP and no hard crowd control leave her exposed if her ultimate is on cooldown
Her ultimate's effect depends on which stack is higher, so poor stack management wastes it
Starlight Pulse and Chaos Assault both have short range, forcing her into poke exchanges
Melee divers who close the gap before Power of Chaos's blink is up can burst her down fast
Skills
Level Starlight Pulse and Chaos Assault evenly early for sustain and poke, prioritizing whichever fits the current fight, and take Order & Chaos at 4, 8 and 12.
Passive
Dreamland Twist

What the terms mean(1)
Spell Vamp
Percentage of HP recovered from dealing Skill Damage to an enemy. HP recovered = Skill Damage × Spell Vamp × Spell Vamp Ratio. Usually the Spell Vamp Ratio is 30%–120%, depending on the skill's damage, range and duration.
Skill 1
Starlight Pulse
AOEHeal
Lunox summons a rain of starlight upon nearby enemies, dealing 200–350 (+110% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. The starlight then returns to Lunox, each restoring and recovering 75–100 (+30% Total Magic Power) HP. The HP restored is doubled when hitting enemy heroes. Grants one stack of Power of Order after use.

Burst Poke Mage
7,940g total
Default pick for mid lane against squishy, low-mobility enemy compositions.
The 'Flicker combo' — blinking in right as a hook or stun lands, or blinking out the instant an enemy ultimate is cast — is the single most common high-elo outplay moment in the game.
Swap in when needed
Winter Crown — Survives a burst combo aimed at her before Power of Order is ready.
Ice Queen Wand — Slows dash-heavy assassins trying to close the gap before Power of Chaos comes off cooldown.
Clock of Destiny — Extra HP and mana sustain for a longer laning phase against poke mages.
Lunox Burst Poke Mage build: Arcane Boots, then Lightning Truncheon, then Holy Crystal, then Divine Glaive.
Sustain Skirmisher
7,750g total
When the enemy team has heavy dive or you need to survive extended trades.
Purify does not clear suppression (e.g. Franco's Bloody Hunt or Khufra's ultimate) — a common mistake is trusting it to escape a hook combo it can't actually cleanse.
Swap in when needed
Winter Crown — Second layer of survivability against assassins diving before Order & Chaos is up.
Concentrated Energy — Hybrid Lifesteal and 400 flat HP for a longer laning phase against poke.
Lunox Sustain Skirmisher build: Arcane Boots, then Feather of Heaven, then Holy Crystal, then Genius Wand.
Who counters Lunox
The heroes that make this matchup hard, and the mechanic that does it.
Alternate Starlight Pulse and Chaos Assault deliberately to bank the stack you want before a fight

Use Power of Order's invincibility to tank a burst combo, not just for damage
3
Save Power of Chaos's blink to reposition around a wall or dodge a skillshot ultimate
4
Farm Starlight Pulse's healing return in lane to skip unnecessary recalls

Build toward whichever stat your passive is converting — Magic Penetration under Order, Spell Vamp under Chaos
Lunox — common questions
Is Lunox good for beginners?
Lunox is a difficulty-4 hero — her damage output is strong, but reading her Order and Chaos stacks to time the right ultimate effect takes real practice.
What is the best build for Lunox?
A burst build with Lightning Truncheon, Holy Crystal, and Divine Glaive covers most games, giving mana sustain, raw magic power, and penetration to break through defense.
Which heroes counter Lunox?
Kaja, Eudora, and Guinevere counter Lunox hard — their suppression and hard CC land regardless of Power of Order's invincibility timing.
What does Lunox's ultimate actually do?
Power of Order grants 2.5 seconds of invincibility and AoE damage if Order stacks are higher, while Power of Chaos blinks, slows, and resets Chaos Assault's cooldown if Chaos stacks are higher.
