Counters single-hit magic burst combos (a mage ultimate or an assassin's magic burst) by cutting magic damage taken 25% for 3 seconds the instant it triggers. Buy vs. burst mage/assassin comps where you need to survive one big hit, not vs. sustained magic DPS over a long fight (use Radiant Armor there).
