Suyou — hero art from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Suyou

ATier

Jungle duelist who taps for speed or holds for up to 40% damage reduction

AssassinFighterJungleDeals physical

Suyou decides, on every single skill press, whether to tap-cast into a fast Mortal form or hold-cast into an Immortal form that stacks up to 40% Physical Damage Reduction. That same choice defines Soul Sever: a single sweep whose damage scales off the target's lost HP, or a three-cleave version whose final, heavier strike heals him for a longer fight.

Specialities
ChaseBurst

Every skill press is a tap-or-hold decision that swaps his whole kit between a fast, fragile Mortal form and a slower, damage-reducing Immortal form, and misreading which one a fight calls for either gets him killed or wastes the extra damage.

Strengths

  • Tap/hold casting on every skill lets him swap mid-fight between Mortal form's mobility and Immortal form's stacking damage reduction
  • Soul Sever's tap-cast sweep scales its damage off the target's lost HP, cleaning up already-damaged targets instantly
  • Tap-cast Blade Surge throws his weapon, blinks to retrieve it, then slashes again — a built-in double-hit gap closer with no separate escape tool needed
  • Hold-cast Soul Sever's final, heavier cleave restores his HP, letting him sustain through extended skirmishes instead of one-and-done bursting

Weaknesses

  • Hold-cast Immortal form skills have a longer wind-up than their tap-cast versions, giving alert enemies time to interrupt or walk out before the charge or cleave lands
  • Tap-cast Mortal form trades away the stacking physical damage reduction for speed, leaving him as squishy as any other assassin while engaging
  • No hard crowd control anywhere — the only control he has is the slow on tap-cast Evil Queller — so any clean dash or Sprint-type escape simply walks out of his combo
  • Immortal form's damage reduction scales off his own Extra Physical Attack, so it is weak before he has core items, leaving early jungle contests risky

Skills

Max Blade Surge as early as possible for its lower cooldown on both tap and hold casts, level Soul Sever second for the lost-HP scaling and the heal, and take Evil Queller at 4, 8 and 12.

Transient Immortal

Buff

Tap-casting any skill will put Suyou in his Mortal form, grant him 40 Movement Speed and decreasing the interval between Basic Attacks. Hold-casting any skill will put Suyou in his Immortal form, increasing the damage of Basic Attacks to 125% and granting him 20% Physical Damage Reduction. In this form, for every 20 extra Physical Attack Suyou has, he gains 1% Physical Damage Reduction (up to 40%).

Tap: Suyou throws his weapon in the target direction, dealing 250–330 (+100% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies in its path. Suyou then blinks to the weapon's location, catches it, and performs a slash in the opposite direction, dealing 375–495 (+150% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage. Hold: Suyou channels the Immortal's power and charges in the target direction, dealing 250–330 (+100% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies along the path.

Soul Sever

AOEPhysical DamageHeal

Tap-casting Soul Sever has Suyou sweep his weapon through a fan-shaped area in front of him, dealing Physical Damage that scales with the target's Lost HP, which puts him in Mortal form. Hold-casting instead channels the Immortal's power for three cleaves in the same area; the first two strikes deal Physical Damage each and the final, heavier strike also restores HP to Suyou, putting him in Immortal form.

Evil Queller

Physical DamageSlowDebuff

Tap-casting Evil Queller has Suyou glide backward while swinging his weapon in the target direction, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in a rectangular area along his path and reducing their Movement Speed for a few seconds. Hold-casting instead channels the Immortal's power into a long-range arrow shot in the target direction, dealing heavier Physical Damage to the first enemy hit; the longer the skill is held, the farther the arrow reaches.

Signature combo

Tap-cast Blade Surge to blink into range and land the follow-up slash, then hold-cast Soul Sever's three cleaves once the target is committed — or, against a target already below half HP, tap-cast Soul Sever instead for the lost-HP scaling, closing with Evil Queller's arrow if they break away.

Who to pair Suyou with

Duo partners whose kit completes this one.

Playing Suyou well

  1. 1

Tap-cast Blade Surge when rotating between camps or lanes with no fight imminent — the free Mortal form movement speed is pure travel time saved

  2. 2

Hold-cast Blade Surge into a stacked-defense or CC-heavy team fight when you need to soak damage; the up to 40% reduction stacks as your Extra Physical Attack grows

  3. 3

Save tap-cast Soul Sever for a target already well below half HP — its damage scales with their lost HP, so it finishes fights rather than opening them

  4. 4

Hold-cast the full three-cleave Soul Sever when multiple enemies are grouped; the final strike's heal is what lets you keep fighting instead of resetting

  5. 5

Against hard-CC or burst-lockdown drafts, commit to Immortal form before you engage — the damage reduction needs to already be stacked when their combo lands, not after

Suyou — common questions

Is Suyou good for beginners?

He's moderately difficult. The tap-or-hold decision on every skill press means every engage is a real choice between speed and damage reduction, and misreading it costs the fight. New players should expect to lose several duels while learning which form a given moment calls for.

What is the best build for Suyou?

Swift Boots into Hunter Strike, Blade of the Heptaseas and Malefic Roar covers mobility, sustained damage and anti-tank penetration for a standard jungle duelist build. Swap in Blade of Despair once ahead to maximize Soul Sever's lost-HP scaling.

Which heroes counter Suyou?

Odette's Swan Song is a self-centered channel that hits him regardless of positioning, Uranus's Radiance regenerates off every hit Suyou lands, and Silvanna's Imperial Justice cannot be interrupted and restrains whoever dives into it.

What emblem and talents should Suyou run?

Assassin emblem with Rupture for adaptive penetration, Master Assassin for bonus single-target damage, and Lethal Ignition for extra burst on his combo is the standard jungle setup.
